Green Valley National School and PU College, Shiroor celebrates Annual day

Shiroor, jan.7 :  16th Annual Day Celebrations of Green Valley National School and PU College was held in a grand function for the parents, students and guests. 

The colourful Ceremony started at 2.30pm. The Chief Guest of the day was Prof. Mathew C Ninan, Principal, Little Rock Indian School Brahmavar.

The programme was presided over by Syed Abdul Kader Bashu, President and Managing Trustee.

Abdussalam Puthige, Editor in Chief, Vartha Bharati Kannada Daily and Abdul Rauf Puthige (Managing Director, Vishwas Bawa Builders, Mangalore were the Guests of Honour.

The colourful ceremony began with a ceremonial Ushering of the Guest by the colour party and Prefects.

Miss Pooja of I PUC welcomed the gathering followed by a welcome Dance. The primary section enthralled the audience with colourful rhythmic movements.

Principal Mr. John Mathew presented the Annual report covering the major events and achievements of the school. Chief Guest Prof. Mathew C Ninan in his address highlighted the transformation of Green Valley National School and PU College into a top Class Educational Institution and importance of good education. He appreciated the Management, especially the Managing Trustee Syed Abdul Kader Bashu for taking the initiative for establishing a world Class School in Shiroor.

 He exhorted the parents and teachers to be more responsible in the upbringing of Children and creating values in them enabling them to be better individuals in a new order where students do not lack any material needs and get pampered in opulence.

Abdussalam Puthige, Editor in Chief, Vartha Bharati Kannada Daily highlighted the importance balanced education and achievements and the need for parents to be supportive to children and encourage them to have an enquiring mind. He exhorted the younger generation to be socially committed and professionally responsible to society.

Proficiency Prizes to the Class Toppers were distributed by Abdussalam Puthige and Abdul Rauf Puthige. President and  Managing trustee Syed Abdul kader Bashu distributed the Special Awards to the Top achievers and the Chief Guest Awarded the Overall Awards.

Md. Suhail of IIPUC Science made a emotional tribute of his impressions of 14 years of schooling at green Valley.

There was a galaxy of talented students staging colourful performances of dance, drama etc. The Miss Nidhi Nayak of Grade VIII B proposed the Vote of Thanks.
