Malappuram BJP candidate Sree Prakash assures good beef, if he wins

Malappuram,  April 2 : The BJP candidate for by-elections to Malappuram Lok Sabha constituency seat has said that he will ensure that the slaughter houses in the district make available quality beef to all households and restaurants.

He was Speaking at the Press Club’s ‘Mukhamukham’ programme. NDA candidate N Sree Prakash also promised that the slaughterhouses will be renovated with air condition facilities and better hygiene.

BJP recently amended a bill reflecting stricter punishment for those found guilty of cow slaughter in Gujarat. Its Uttar Pradesh Government headed by firebrand Yogi Adityanath has initiated a crackdown on illegal slaughter houses in the state . Its Chattisgarh Chief Minister, Raman Singh has declared that those slaughtering cows will be hanged.

He clarified that the restrictions imposed on meat sale in some North Indian states is due to malpractices like selling the meat of dead cows through slaughterhouses which do not have a licence.

When asked,  Sree Prakash reminded that it was the Congress government which passed laws banning slaughtering of cows in several states.

He alleged that the CPM is indirectly backing UDF in the by-election. Sree Prakash also blamed that the current MLAs and MPs in Kerala are not taking the central government's welfare schemes to the public.
