Alva's Engineering Students To Visit Japan On 'STUDENT- EXCHANGE PROGRAMME'

Moodbidri: Nine students of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), Moodbidri, along with their Faculty coordinator Dr. Satyanarayan will be visiting Kumamoto University, Japan for a week’s educational program from 28th January to 4th February, 2018 on the invitation of the Government of Japan under the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science, known as the “SAKURA Exchange Program in Science”.

The students, currently pursuing their final year bachelor degree at AIET- Mijar, will be sponsored by Japan Science and Technology (JST), Government of Japan.

“SAKURA Exchange Program in Science” aims to promote young researchers in the field of science and technology through close collaboration of industry, academia and government by facilitating short-term visits of proficient Asian youths to Japan for studying and experiencing cutting-edge Japanese technology. This is the result of signing MoU between Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology and Kumamoto University, Japan on 27th June 2017. AIET is the 4th in India having MoU with Kumamoto University, Japan.

Dr. M. Mohan Alva, Chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation, Mr. Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee, Alva’s Education Foundation and Dr. Peter Fernandes, Principal, Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology congratulated and expressed their hope that the students would get an opportunity to learn and experience the modern scientific and technological advancements during their visit to Japan.
