Dhanyashree suicide case: Prime accused arrested

Chikkamagaluru: Police have on January 11, Thursday arrested the prime accused in the case of suicide of Dhanyashree, a student of Moodigere  D. S. Biligowda First Grade College. The arrested youth is Santosh (20), son of Rajesh of Badagakajekar in Bantwal Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. Police have said that he is a lift mechanic by profession.

Rajesh who was in hiding in Bengaluru ever since the suicide of Dhanyashree came to light, was arrested by a police team  comprising  Moodigere Inspector  M Rafique,  ASI Venkatesh and  other personnel including Girish and Jaffer.

Santosh is accused  of chatting with Dhanyashree on WhatsApp and then  threatening her parents  apart from sending screenshots of the chat messages to some individuals and organisations.
