Update: 2018-01-22 09:33 GMT

Moodigere: State BSP President N Mahesh who has come down heavily on  Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegade for his recent remarks about  'Changing Constitution' has said "We have the capacity to  get him replaced during the next elections."

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday,  he said the true essence of the Constitution   as per the vision of Dr B R Ambedkar has still not been implemented. " The various governments  that ruled the nation  have amended the constitution at least 123 times. How can Ananth Kumar Hegade change the constitution which has not yet been  effectively implemented?'' he questioned. He also stated that Ananth Kumar Hegade who is indulging in communalism  is unfit to be a minister.

He said there was a need to have a hung Lok Sabha and Vidhana Sabha  as  an absolute majority would  lead to many problems like communalism. "Those at the helm enjoy  touring the globe rather than running the administration. If there is a hung Lok Sabha and Vidhana Sabha then  the government's ears can be tweaked as and when required," he said.
