Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has slammed BJP National President Amit Shah for not raising the  Mahadayi issue when he participated in the BJP Parivartana Yatra at Mysuru on a day when Karnataka Bundh was being observed over Mahadayi dispute.

Speaking to reporters here, the Chief Minister  said the national leaders of the BJP have no right to come to Karnataka and deliver speeches  unless they  find a solution to Mahadayi issue.

"Instead of participating in the convention and telling lies,  let him pressurise the Prime Minister to  mediate and solve the issue. Only then they will have the moral ground to come to the state," the Chief Minister said.

The Prime Minister during his February 4 visit to the state  should declare that he will mediate and solve the issue, Siddaramaiah demanded.

Commenting on the statement of  BJP leader Eshwarappa describing Shah as tiger and Modi as Lion, the  Chief Minister questioned whether in that case the party's state leaders were foxes.
