Bengaluru: "RSS is a terrorist organisation  against which several serious cases have been registered," said  JNU student  activist Shehla Rashid.

Speaking at the  'Gauri  Day' programme organised  at Town Hall on Monday, she said  "I do not have any fear to describe the RSS as a terrorist organisation.  As part of its first attack, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated," she added.

She said there are allegations of RSS involvement in several cases including the Goa blast case. But the RSS has  been managing to escape with political influence. There is the   involvement of Sanathana Samstha even in Gauri case," she alleged.

"We do not need  lessons on patriotism  from RSS.  Karni Sena Chief has spoken about breaking India. Still it  is not considered  anti-national.  But  Umar Khalid becomes a traitor just because he is a Muslim," she said.

"If hundreds of kids died in Uttar Pradesh Hospitals for want of oxygen the Chief Minister of that state is coming to Karnataka to say it's health is worse," she mocked.

She also alleged that the BJP government instead of constructing a Ram Mandir was only using the issue to reap political gains.
