ಫೆಸಿಫಿಕ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಟೊಂಗಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಶನಿವಾರ ಸಮುದ್ರದೊಳಗೆ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿ ಸ್ಪೋಟಿಸಿದೆ. ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿ ಸ್ಪೋಟದ ತೀವ್ರತೆಗೆ ಭಾರೀ ಅಲೆಗಳು ಎದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಸುನಾಮಿ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ಸದ್ಯ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುನಾಮಿಯ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸುವ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗಳು ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಹಾನಿಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು timesofisrael ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಲಾದ ವೀಡಿಯೊದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಲೆಗಳು ದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಚಿತ್ರಿತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅಚಾನಕ್‌ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿದ ಅಲೆಗಳು ಮನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳ ಎತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ದೇಶದ ಕರಾವಳಿಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ರೆಡ್ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದು ಜನರನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಡೆಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವರದಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದೆ.
ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರಿವಿಗೆ ತಂದಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ವರದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. 2,300 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಸುನಾಮಿ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ವರದಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆ.
