ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜ.31: ವಾಯು ವಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಕೆರೆ ಬಳಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ ಯುವಕ-ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆದರಿಸಿ ಸುಲಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಗೃಹ ರಕ್ಷಕದಳದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಎಚ್‍ಎಎಲ್ ಠಾಣಾ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿ ಎಂದುವೈಟ್ ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಡಿಸಿಪಿ ಎಸ್ ಗಿರೀಶ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಜ.29 ರಂದು ಕುಂದಲಹಳ್ಳಿ ಕೆರೆ ಬಳಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ ಯುವಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆದರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಆರೋಪಿ 1 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ತಾನು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯುವತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಕೆಯ ಗೆಳೆಯನ ಫೋಟೋ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ನಂತರ ಇಬ್ಬರ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅನುಮತಿಯಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿ ಎಂದು ಬೆದರಿಸಿದ್ದ.
ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಬಳಿಕ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಬಂದರೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ 1 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ ದಂಡ ಪಾವತಿಸುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಪೇಟಿಎಂ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಣ ಪಡೆದು ತೆರಳಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯಿಂದ ಬೇಸತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯುವತಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಟ್ವಿಟರ್ ಖಾತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮಗಾದ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿ, ಆರೋಪಿಯ ಬೈಕ್ ಫೋಟೋ ಸಹಿತ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದ ಎಚ್‍ಎಎಲ್ ಠಾಣಾ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನ ಬಂಧಿಸಿ, ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೊಳಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

while there were clearly benches beside us to sit for the general public. He started interrogating us about our jobs, hometown, our purpose of visit and said that we will have to come to the police station with him and pay a fine on grounds of 'sitting' without permission. (2/6)
